Nose to the Grindstone
Hello all, and welcome back to the Mohawk Minute!
The gears on the RoboRiot machine are turning as hard as ever this week. The CAD team is finishing up chassis designs for our competition robot, which is fantastic for our fabrication team. The fabrication team has been working on a new pneumatics box for prototyping and practice, and they managed to get our drive train almost complete. The business team has been finishing up the pieces for our mascot’s armor. Savannah Strojny has been keeping all of our hours up to date, making sure that everyone has enough to go to the competition.
The programming team has been finishing up programming our swerve drive, programming Triangle Bot, and working on a new feature for our drivers. When the drivers push the joysticks, pushing one joystick will cause the robot will move in that direction and the other joystick will allow for turning. Isaiah Stengel has been working on making it so that one joystick will cause the robot to move in a direction and turn to face that direction.
As we close in on the competition, we’re all hard-pressed to get our work done quickly and efficiently.
See you all next week!
