Crescendo
2024
2024 was Crescendo. The game involves two alliances of three teams each competing to score "notes" where foam rings into either a high-goal "speaker" or a low-goal "amp" in hopes of scoring more points.
Charged Up
2023
2023 is Charged Up.The game involves two alliances of three teams each completing to storage energy (Cones & Cubes) to charge up their communities.
Destination: Deep Space
2019
2019 was Destination: Deep Space. The game involves two alliances of three teams each competing to place hatch covers and rubber balls or “cargo” on rockets and cargo ships before returning to their hab platform to climb at the end of the match.
Rapid React
2022
2022 was Rapid React. The game involves two alliances of three teams each completing actions, shooting inflatable balls known as cargo into a central hub and climbing within their hangars at the end of the match.
Power Up
2018
2018 was Power Up. In this game, robots carrying milk crates must place them on scales, tipping them, to gain the advantage over the opposing team. Alliances can trade milk crates ( called power cubes ) for temporary power ups. At the end, robots can climb their tower on the balancing scale for additional points.
Infinite Recharge
2020
2020 was Infinite Recahrge. The game involves two alliances of three teams each competing to energize and activate the shield before the match ends and asteroids strike FIRST City
Steamworks
2017
2017 was Steamworks. In this game, robots score points by loading wiffleballs, ( fuel ) into a simulated boiler. The "boiler" generates "steam"into an airship in the middle of the field. They can also load gears into the airship to build pressure. To earn even more points, robots can hang on team-supplied ropes from the airship.
Stronghold
2016
2016 was STRONGHOLD. In this game, robots must defend their castle from the opposing teams. They can score points by launching balls into the towers and helping other robots move across the game field. At the end, they can score ranking points by climbing their respective tower.
Recycle Rush
2015
2015 was Recycle Rush. In this game, robots must collect totes & garbage cans from the landfill to earn points. Teams must stack totes and cans to earn the maximum amount of points. Human players can also throw pool noodles to lower the opposing teams score.
Aerial Assault
2014
2014 was Aerial Assault. In this game, robots take hold of 2' diameter exercise balls and launch them into goals to score. Goals can be marked "hot" for double points. Alliances can pass each other the ball via volleyball style over the middle truss for point bonuses.
Ultimate Ascent
2013
2013 was Ultimate Ascent. In this game, robots collect Frisbees & shoot them into goals of varying height. Teams can score bonus points at the end by climbing a pyramid.
Rebound Rumble
2012
2012 was Rebound Rumble. In this game, robots have to pick up basketballs & shoot them into their respective hoops. Teams can also score points with their alliance members, by balancing upon a see-saw located in the middle of the field.
Breakaway
2010
2010 was Breakaway. Robots direct soccer balls into goals, traverse "bumps" on the field, suspend themselves and each other on towers and or go through a tunnel located in the center of the field.
Logo Motion
2011
2011 was LOGO Motion. In this game, robots have to pick up inner tube game pieces & place them on racks to gain points. The inner tubes, shaped like the FIRST Logo, are made to commemorate artist Jack Kamen, who designed the FIRST logo.
