About FIRST Lego League

FIRST Lego League is NOT a club. It is a competition, which combines teamwork, a project presentation, robot design, a robot competition, just to name a few! It is an amazing experience for students on the teams, as well as coaches, mentors and parents.

There are four parts to the FIRST Lego League competition: the Innovation Project, Core Values, Robot Game and Robot Design. Each team that competes are judged in all four parts, and the teams that have the best 'all around' competition (each part counts for 25% of a team's overall score) have the opportunity to advance. Similar to high school sports, the competitions are held at the Regional, Sectional and State levels.

Every season has a new theme, which determines what the subject of the Innovation Project, as well as the design of the Robot Game board.
